Chicken heads cat meal

I just don't understand why people don't feed chiken heads to their cats, if I were given a dollar evertime I tell somebody that they cat feed their cats chicken heads I'd become a rich man!
Chiken heads are a very cheap cat food substitute, depending on where you live you can get them for free or very cheap, you will only have to boil them a while, then cool them down, and break them into small pieces for your cat, he will love it.
Here in Morocco just almost everybody only feeds chicken heads to their cats + kitchen left overs, everyday and over and over, and no cats ever get ill at all, it is for sure not a so diversified diet but it may serve you as a proof that its not bad idea to do that, .. if you have questions regarding that you can post them here as a comment.

  1. I couldn't feed chicken heads because I'd find it way too gross... as it is I'm mostly vegetarian, I cringe even thinking of chicken heads. Ew.

What about the bones? Chicken bones are too breakable and have been known to cause damage to cats. They can break them easily, so then you have a sharp piece of bone scratching and possibly piercing them from the inside. I will never ever let my cats anywhere near chicken bones (They love a good solid chunk of bone from other meats after a roast, though!)

  2. i have been feeding my cats for over 1 year with raw chicken heads and they seem to be happy with it. The heads do not have to be cooked at all. They even swallow the small skull bones. Watching them eating chicken heads is that it is too gross. But, i think it is closer to their predator nature.

  3. Chicken appear to be an ideal food for cats. When thoroughgly cooled the bones are soft and even kittens wolf them down, They are high in complex animal proteins whereas dry commercial food is high in carbohydrates which a cat cannot digest and cause a whole range of problems. The so-called protein percentage in dry food is highly questionable since most of is is from corn, wheat, soy, which has been condemned as unsuitable for human consumption. Soy contains substances which are dangerous to both humans and animals.Much of it is moldy and contains toxins from decayed plant material. Simply said, cats are not vegetarians, much less moldy cereals.

  4. I live on an island and although we ship our food in for our furry family, we also make do with the local produce. Our dogs get thier fair share of chicken feet treats - a free and great way of supplementing their diet. What I dont understand is the response of so many pet owners cringing about serving heads/feet etc. You are nopt asked to eat it and why deprive your pet on good nutrition based on your squimishness.. ridiculous! They also lick thier bums however, i dont hear complaints- does that mean the owners do it too?? No.. cats/dogs are dogs and humans are humans.. we are different and shame to see tthat owners deprive their pets based on their dislikes..

    1. No need to separate . Cats eat the full head and leave the beaks

  6. It's because it's a cat's blog, dummy. If you don't want to read about cats, go to another website. No one's forcing you to read anything here anyway.
